Invisalign

Having properly aligned teeth comes with a spread of benefits. Of course, it can bring you more confidence in your smile. But it also can come with health benefits. For years, braces were the only way you could align your teeth, but the process is long, occasionally painful, and less than stylish. Invisalign provides a way to straighten teeth without the hassles of braces.

At Star Dental Group, we are proud to offer Invisalign to our community in Rancho Cucamonga.

What Is Invisalign About?

Invisalign takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. The idea is to provide correction in as subtle a way as possible.

Even though you have your aligners on throughout the day, most people won’t even notice that you are wearing them. As your teeth become aligned, you can develop greater confidence in your smile.

How Does Invisalign Work?

These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable, and virtually invisible plastic that you simply wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place.

Your unique aligners are based on the exact movements your dentist in Rancho plans out for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You simply pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete and you achieve the confident smile that you’ve always wanted.

Subtle, Convenient, Effective

The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth. Sure, there are other options out there for straightening your teeth, but none offers the comfort, convenience, and confidence that you’ll find with Invisalign.

No matter what stage you’re at in life, you’ll appreciate how our cutting-edge approach to treatment has minimal interference in how you live but has a significant positive impact on how you look and feel about yourself.

Achieve Straighter Teeth With Invisalign

One of the best things about Invisalign is the minimal impact it has on your everyday life. Traditional alignment through braces comes with a range of inconveniences. Eating can become tricky, and cleaning your teeth suddenly takes extreme effort to do it properly. With braces, your dietary options are further restricted. And, with every tightening, be prepared for an aching mouth.

Since Invisalign aligners are so comfortable, you should be able to wear them for the recommended 20 to 22 hours a day without much effort.

You can take them out for meals. That means you don’t need to worry about bits of food becoming lodged in them as you might with braces. Then, after eating, you can clean your teeth as you would normally. No need to adjust your brushing or flossing technique. After your teeth are clean, you can pop your aligners right back on and carry on with your day.

Is Invisalign Right For Me?

Invisalign isn’t only for younger patients. Adults who want their teeth aligned can significantly benefit from Invisalign as well. In rather extreme cases, braces might be a better way to align your teeth. However, Invisalign is an excellent option for most patients who want to correct their teeth without the hassle of braces.

Below are some signs that Invisalign might be right for you:

  • Overbite/underbite
  • Crowded teeth
  • Gaps in teeth
  • Open bite
  • Over 13 years old
  • Ready to commit

Severe Crowding

This 27-year-old female was unhappy that her upper and lower jaws seemed to be misaligned. This caused her upper teeth to bite on the inside of her lower teeth, and she could tell it was causing excessive wear. Her doctors told her this issue could also cause gum disease and bone loss. Her Invisalign treatment lasted approximately nine months.

Crossbite

This 26-year-old female believed there wasn’t enough room within her jaw for all of her teeth to fit normally. Her doctor told her that when left untreated, overly crowded teeth can cause dental decay, an increase in the chances of gum disease, and can prevent the normal function of teeth. She was treated over the course of approximately ten months.

Spacing

This 56-year-old male was concerned that his teeth were abnormally spaced and very far apart. His doctor told him that while this might just seem unattractive, spacing issues in teeth can also cause some periodontal diseases. His Invisalign treatment lasted approximately ten months.

Overbite

This 38-year-old female was concerned that her upper teeth overlapped her lower teeth too much. Not only is this a cosmetic issue, but it can also lead to health problems later in life, so she was anxious to get it fixed. She was treated with Invisalign in approximately 20 months.
